Our mission is to build the data backbone for modern businesses. Clearbit is the marketing data engine for customer interactions. We help businesses grow by providing tools that help them deeply understand their customers, identify future prospects, and highly personalize every single marketing and sales interaction. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We're currently looking for a freelance technical writer (remote or on location welcome) to help revamp our external facing help center . The overall goal is to allow our customers to better self-serve, both implementation and troubleshooting. Additionally any way to encourage additional use cases on their own is something we'd highly welcome from this project. Depending on the success of this project, additional projects may be available. Our ideal candidate should have a demonstrated comfort level delivering quality content about a variety of solution/integration types, APIs, modern sales/marketing technology (solutions such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Tableau, Optimizely, Marketo, Hubspot, Segment). Expected Output • Bring improved structure and consistency to our help center • Unique, friendly, and easy to follow tone across the board, trying to unpack sometimes highly technical subjects to less technical readers. This will include walking through code snippets, examples, or API endpoints • Add images where helpful/update old and out of date material • Touch on the importance of each article/use case • Make sure docs are easy to navigate/find • Highlight tips and tricks, things to look out for, how to troubleshoot • Existing links all connect, or links are added where it makes sense • Make sure there are examples of configurations as needed (ie in our API docs, we don't have enough examples of common scenarios) • Fill in the gap where we may be missing some content Minimum Required Experience • 2 years of technical writing • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills • Level of self-sufficiency, but knows when to ask questions • Used Zendesk previously • Written about API based SAAS products previously • Web development background preferred To Apply Please submit a few examples of past work, and a sample based on a single article from our help center of your choosing (please spend no more than 30 minutes on this).
