Trailhead is the fun way to learn Salesforce. It's revolutionizing the way people learn and energizing, activating, and expanding our incredible Salesforce community of Trailblazers. Trailhead helps skill-up developers, admins and business users by presenting them with a series of guided learning 'Trails' that break up Salesforce into small, digestible bites. It's modular, social and gamified. Since launching in 2014, Trailhead has seen meteoric growth with more than 1,000,000 learners earning 10,000,000 badges and counting. One key to Trailhead's success is having compelling content for our learners, and that's where you come in! We need an amazing writer with strong technical skills to create dynamic developer driven content to continue to skill up a community of Trailblazers that is always thirsting to learn MOAR about our constantly evolving technology landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Create learning content that makes challenging, complex ideas, concepts, and tasks understandable and fun
  • Create and build hands-on learning experiences that are engaging to our community of Trailblazers
  • Bring a deep understanding of our learners, and be able to put yourself in the mind of the learner to create incredible, fun, aspirational, relevant content
  • Anticipate content needs in the face of rapidly changing product, audience and business drivers
  • Write sample code that will be used in learning for technical programmers and technologists
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on the Salesforce platform
  • Manage content throughout the production lifecycle through rounds of edits and revisions with subject matter experts, editors and testers

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Salesforce credentials, including Platform Developer 1
  • Minimum 4 years as a programmer, or technical instructional designer/writer
  • Demonstrated ability to create, with minimal oversight, learning content about complex technical topics for programmers and technologists
  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineers, consultants, product managers, and technical documentation writers to gather information about the features and functionalities of software products
  • Demonstrated ability for creative thinking and project management
  • Self-starter that thrives in a team with the energy and chaos of a startup and doesn't mind keeping things weird
