Job Description

It is a great role for somebody with an excellent English, interest in technology, technical writing, and languages. You will be responsible for producing high-quality technical content including Help Center articles and Release Notes. This content is integral to the work we do as it enables our users to make the most of our software. You will be part of the Memsource Technical Support team, but also will work closely with other teams including Product, Engineering, and Account Management.

What you´ll be doing on a daily basis:

  • Writing, updating, and editing user manual and articles available on the Memsource Help Center, consistent with the company style and tone
  • Reviewing Help Center documentation for technical accuracy, grammar, and clarity
  • Coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams on information related to product updates and new features
  • Creating content that helps Memsource users make the most of our software and achieve their aims
  • Understand key industry product terms and documentation best practices to improve the user’s support experience
  • Analyzing documentation usage, customer support data, and user feedback to continuously improve Help Center documentation
  • Creating and reviewing Release Notes on a weekly basis
  • Incorporating relevant feedback into the Help Center documentation

The key skills we will be evaluating include:

  • Excellent English
  • Demonstrated ability to write documentation (original and rewriting) that is consistent and accurate
  • 1-2 years of relevant technical writing experience
  • Creating, maintaining, and using a style guide
  • Technical skills such as ability to learn new software, working in HTML, etc.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working with or managing wiki or online documentation systems (Desk.com, Zendesk, Help Scout, ...)
  • Experience in the translation and localization industry or with translation and CAT tool technology
