At ALIAS, we’re re-inventing privacy laws and regulation with software, and we’d like your help in telling that story. We believe that, in the digital world, “law is code, and code is law”, and that’s why we’ve built tools to enable developers to make privacy laws regulations a reality — especially since they’re the ones responsible for their implementation in applications and companies.
More concretely, we’re making APIs and devtools to make privacy regulations programmable by developers, as easy as manipulating code and APIs. By applying regulations as code, companies can scale compliance internally using our developer-friendly tools. We also know that an API is as good as its documentation, this is why we’re looking for an experienced API docs writer to help us make regulation simple to implement. Our aim is to build with you a state of the art API documentation that is well-documented, interactive, code-sampled, and developer-friendly, with a range of content from Getting started guides, to use-case-driven Tutorials, to reference pages.
About the Role
ALIAS is looking for a highly motivated Technical Writer for APIs to own all technical content within the ALIAS developers and Data Protection Officer communities. We welcome diversity, and if you feel you’re the right person for the job, you’re probably right, so reach out to us.
What You’ll Be Doing
You'll be the owner of the API documentation and the Developer portal content experience. The documentation created by you as an API Docs writer will be consumed by many different external audiences (“personas”), but especially Developers and Data Protection Officers (DPO), so you’ll have to manage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Content will be authored and/or edited for multiple mediums, mainly our Developer portal, but also a developer blog, email, and newsletters. The job involves :
